The 3D printing in medicine community is unique in that its members are incredibly diverse and multidisciplinary. The field includes surgeons, biomedical engineers, regulators and corporations, but these groups would rarely have an opportunity to connect.
3DMedNet convened members of this exciting industry for the very first time, by providing an online space for sharing knowledge, connecting and collaborating. 3 years on from launch, they identified an opportunity to launch a live dedicated event for this audience: 3DMedLIVE.
3DMedNet itself was crucial in generating engagement and excitement for the event, to ensure this time-poor audience would join them in the leap from online to in-person engagement.
The result was a hugely successful 2-day event for an audience that was already informed, engaged and connected with each other. It allowed 3DMedNet to expand their offering and the value they provide to members, generate revenue and advance the community.
It is about sustaining the community that we’ve harbored here, and helping that to progress forward. The continued conversation has been quite the mark of success.
